Geocaching Trip this weekend
It looks as though we are planning a caching trip this weekend.
Myself, Anna and Morgan will be up for it, as are Red Kite, Samurai Dan, Vanya and Tinkerbell... Anyone else interested?
And, Where shall we go? Elan Valley?
Not sure which day of the weekend will be best weather-wise yet.
Al.

Im not sure about Elan Valley Al. We were up there a few weeks ago and it got so windy Samurai Dan and Tinkerbell were doing Mary Poppins impressions

What Dan and I would really like to do is wait until the Spring and camp there for the weekend. Its a fantastic place, with a few caches on different
levels and there is a camp site near it that has great reviews.
How about Jennie's new one 'Dippers Cache' as that river walk looks lovely and I think there may be more in that locale that we havent done if we
all wanted to extend it?
I can't wait for the weekend

Fine by me.... We haven't done any of the caches in that neck of the woods, and who knows we might get a mass FTF if no one beats us to it!

Great that neck of the woods its going to be. Perhaps we should all dress up as Teddy Bears and take some cheesy tableclothes and picnicbaskets.
On second thoughts
Nahhhhhh

Well done to them!
It sounds as though they enjoyed it too so Jennie's first cache appears to be a roaring success... It seems as though that should be the plan for the
weekend then.

Jennie if you read this thread - are you working this weekend? Perhaps you and your significant other could join us in finding your cache lol

Well as my 100th is coming up I would like to do some others, and I have not yet done Pen y Gist, and Cwmystwyth Earth Cache, although I know Al has
already done this. Are there any others nearby that we have all yet to discover?

Hmm might go for something slightly more challenging
Got to work Saturday anyway, the hazards of retail
and that's "Insignificant Other".........Can't have him getting ideas above his station, can I?

I take it most people here have already found 'Of Gorse you can see the sea' and 'Craig Ddu'? We haven't yet and they are pretty close
toJennie's new cache.

Im not sure if RedKite has done them but we definately havn't.
I will ask her when she gets back in. She's just realised there's an FTF up for grabs and she shot out the door before anyone beat her to it

I was thinking of doing "of gorse you can see the sea" on Sunday, I really must move on Land Rover TB which is doing the coast footpath. Can
Twm-y-Tonnau tell me if it was muddy the other day? I don't think the Insignificant Other will stand another getting his feet stuck/slipping over
type caching trip! He has the worst luck Funny for me
though

LOL Jennie. The coast path does get a bit muddy but I doubt if it's too much to handle unless he is a real wimp
I have done Of Gorse you can see the Sea, but not Craig Ddu. There is an easy footpath to OGYCSTS, through a caravan park, so there would be no need
for too much of a trek along the coast path to that one. I wouldn't mind doing it again on the way to Craig Ddu, which I haven't done yet.

OK, that sounds like a plan then.... Jennie's Dipper cache, Of Gorse you Can See the Sea and Craig Ddu.
What sort of time do you fancy setting off? We could meet you in Aber and then head off in convoy. We're happy to do it on Sunday (unless Anna
corrects me here) rather than Saturday if everyone else can make it and it means Jennie (and her very important but apparently insignificant other)
can come along too.

LOL Justanna
Dan and I have a computer each, side by side and we somtimes go in the same chat room and talk to each other.
How sad is that!!
Unfortunately we will be travelling back on Sunday because Tinkerbell has school on Monday and Dan has work

Dave and I would be happy to join in with this - especially as someone else has worked out where we are going
Is it going to be Saturday or Sunday? Looks like either way someone will not be able to make it.... Always the way when you try to organise anything
with a group.

OK.. We need some definite plans and as there isn't a day that everyone can make, we'll do it on Saturday as it is only Jennie who can't make
Saturday and we are planning to do her cache anyway (Sorry Jennie... its nothing personal! )
How about we meet at the Aberaeron Parking listed as a waypoint on jennies Dipper Cache (N 52° 14.093 W 004° 15.210).. at 11am.
See you there!.... Shall we plan on finding somewhere in Aberaeron for lunch or bringing a picnic?

Yup we're up for that
Not sure about eating somewhere as that would take time. We will most likely bring some food with us to eat in the car if too wet for picnic.
See you all there
