Geocaching Birthday
On the 24th of June, my partner Amanda and I will have been caching for 1 year. We are total addicts. At the moment we have 191 finds and we hope to
reach 200 before our first year is up.
We have also placed 6 caches so far and intend to place a "Birthday Box" to celebrate our caching anniversary.
Thanks to all the Abercachers who have given us advice over this forum and have placed caches for us to find, and who have searched out our hides.
Heres to our 2nd year of caching and our next 200 finds.

We have reached our 200th cache find after an excellent day out in Aberystwyth. Thanks to Red Kite for lots of great caches, and also forces of
nature. We particularly enjoyed Barking up the wrong tree (only found after barking up several wrong trees), Rainbow-Green and Ystrad Fflur.

We have finally got round to placing our cache to celebrate our first caching birthday. It is named "Seasonal Celebrations" (GC1X70X) and is a
large ammo tin with plenty of room to exchange celebration items. Something scary at Halloween, crackers at xmas, hearts at valentines etc.
The cache has yet to be published so keep an eye out if you are looking for a FTF in the next couple of days.

Congratulations on your first anniversary and your first cache. I pondered on this theme a while back. One note of caution, ammo cans tend to go
missing so it might be worth not stating that its an ammo on the cache page. However there is one at Pen y Gist that has been there a few years so if
it is off the beaten track it may well last.
Am looking out for this one to be published as I have three in the queue as well. someone is going to have a nice few FTFs if they get their act
together

Hi Red Kite,
My cache was published almost immediately on Thurs evening.
I have been waiting for yours to be published as we are coming up to Aber this evening for a birthday dinner on top of Constitution Hill. Hopefully
will get a minute to try and find coast path caper. Drag the girls out in the dark in their party frocks to hunt for a micro .

Thanks Red Kite, I did manage to sneak out of the party to grab Coast Path Caper. I have a container just the same waiting to be released when I get
round to it. £1 from New Quay pound shop.
Not a bad place for an evening meal watching the sunset up at the resteraunt on top, and a ride up and down on the train. A nice evening and another
cache found. Unfortunately we had not seen the new caches you had published until we got home otherwise we would have tried for FTF this morning
before heading back. Never mind I am sure we will be back in Aber soon.

Reached 300 yesterday on a visit to Gillingham in Kent for a wedding. A proper urban cache, a nano inside a boot scraper of a house in a typical
innercity street of houses.
This last hundred caches have come quickly, less than 3 months. How long before we reach 400? not long I guess as we are now true addicts. Collected
10 Motorway Mayhem caches on our way home around the M25 and along the M4.

Just noticed that last Wednesday was our 2nd caching birthday with 478 caches found. Had hoped to make it to 500 for our birthday but other
commitments have foiled that plan.

We had a fantastic weekend thanks Sian, the weather was really way too ot for cching but most folks were out at some point. Lots of water pistols and
paddling pools in evidence, and soggy children (and adults!).

Maybe we all need to get out on a power trail. Not many of those around here though. Most of my good numbers are at events when a few of us go out
caching together, sometimes in cars to do drive bys. Usually it's in groups where we go on a circular walk and there can be 15-20 caches set
specifically for the event. It's a lot of fun, the miles just fly past and the numbers soon add up.

I noticed that Nitro, you have been very busy since our Telford expedition. My last hundred went very quickly, and I have 25 to log yet from last
weekend. Events are brilliant for racking up the numbers
